The Children’s Museum board in Minot is proud to announce that Ackerman-Estvold has donated the architectural and civil engineering design services for the new Magic City Discovery Center (MCDC), to be built on Minot Park District land on north hill in Minot. Xcel Energy Foundation Grants $2,000 to Support Outreach

The Xcel Energy Foundation granted $2,000 to the Magic City Discovery Center to help their outreach program entitled "Discovery on the Go". The Magic City Discover Center (MCDC) will offer Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) related projects, experiments and activities to elementary school age children in Minot and the surrounding areas. The program will include things like camps, pop-up museum activities at community events and festivals and school programs. Minot Area Community Foundation Bremer Impact Fund grants $25,000 to Magic City Discovery Center

The Minot Area Community Foundation's Bremer Impact Fund has granted $25,000 to the Magic City Discovery for their Capital Campaign. The Magic City Discovery Center (MCDC) is in the early stages of raising funds for a full-scale, permanent children’s museum in Minot, located on Minot Park District land on North Hill. MCDC operated a temporary museum during the winter months out of the Dakota Territory Air Museum over the past four years.
