MCEF Awards $30,000 to MCDC

The Minot Community Endowment Fund awarded $30,000 to the Magic City Discovery Center to help support the Move and Work Exhibit Zone which is one of six exhibit zones that will be part of the new permanent museum. The Minot Community Endowment Fund was established in 1981 by a grant from the Otto Bremer Trust (formerly the Otto Bremer Foundation) and is a permanent part of the North Dakota Community Foundation, which provides professional management of the fund. The fund is governed locally by an Advisory Committee, made up of volunteers from various service clubs in Minot. The Minot Area Community Foundation (MACF) has made its largest grant to date in the amount of $750,000 to The Magic City Discovery Center (MCDC) for the Magic Climber exhibit to be located inside the new children’s museum in Minot. The Magic Climber will be a signature and unique multi-story climbing experience for visitors of all ages.
