Birthday Party Packages

Members: $270 

Non-Members: $300 

Birthday Party Hours:

Saturday: 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. or 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Sunday: 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
 

To request your party date, please fill out the form by clicking the button below. We cannot guarantee the date and time selected will be available. Please note that we will not accept payment until your date and time are confirmed. A Magic City Discovery Center staff member will be in contact with you via email to confirm details for your requested party. Birthday parties need to be booked at least four weeks in advance. Thank you!

Package Includes:

  • Admission for up to 20 guests including adults and children. Please note, all birthday parties must have a 5 children to 1 adult minimum ratio. You may add up to 5 additional guests at our group rate of $8 per person.

  • Party room access for 2 hours.

  • Party host.

  • The birthday child will be given a T-shirt.

  • Access to all exhibits.

  • Paper plates, napkins, and cups are provided.
     

Party Add-On Options:

  • Pizza and beverage will be available to purchase when you complete the booking. Pizza must be ordered 5 days prior to the party.

    • Pizza is from Papa John's

    • Specialty Large Pizza - $20

    • Single Topping Large Pizza - $15

    • Additional Toppings on Pizza - $1 per topping
       

    • Gluten Free Options:

    • 1 Topping Small Pizza - $12

    • Specialty Small Pizza - $20

    • 2 Liter of Soda - $5
       

  • Additional adults and children (ages 1 and above) will be $8 per extra person, up to 25 people total. 
     

Reservations:

  • Birthday parties may only be held during the hours noted.

  • In order to hold your date and time, full payment is required when your party is confirmed.

  • There are 2 rooms so there will be 2 birthday parties going on concurrently.

  • Booking must be made 4 weeks in advance to ensure the discovery center can accommodate your request.

  • Any changes must be communicated to the discovery center a minimum of 5 days before the party.
     

What to Bring:

  • Please provide your own specialty tablecloths, paper plates, napkins, and cups. We do provide generic paper plates, napkins, and cups.

  • You are welcome to bring cake, ice cream, ice cream cake, or cupcakes and juice, or bottled water. No other outside food or drink is allowed.

  • To keep the center safe and tidy, we DO NOT allow confetti, confetti filled balloons, piñatas, silly string, glitter, candles/flames, or taping and fastening anything to the walls, windows, blinds, doors, or ceilings. Non latex balloons only. 
     

Damage/Cleaning Deposit:

  • We ask that you assist with cleaning up of the party room. Please leave all areas ready for others to enjoy.

  • If you depart on time and the party room is clean and there is no damage, we will return the damage/cleaning deposit back to you.


Arrival & Departure:

  • It is important to arrive on time for your reservation. Your room will be open for you to set up and decorate 15 minutes prior to your scheduled reservation time. 

  • Drop-off and pick-up are in the main lobby. If children are dropped off for the party, the Birthday Host will accompany the children to the Community Room.

  • The maximum room reservation time is 2 hours for each party. Please ask your guests to arrive at the start of your reservation and depart prior to the end of your reservation time. Clean-up and removal of all personal items should also occur prior to the end of your reservation time. 
     

Payments & Rescheduling:

  • Payments will be required upon booking your party.

  • Any changes made after booking must be paid for the day of your party.

  • In the event you need to cancel your party, the discovery center will make every attempt to reschedule it at a more convenient time.
     

Guidelines:​​

  • Always stay together. Adult supervision is required at all times.

  • Be safe. Walking feet only.

  • No food, drink, or gum outside of the birthday party room.

  • Children under age 15 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

  • All birthday parties must have a 5 children to 1 adult minimum ratio.

  • The contact person for the party is responsible for the children attending the party at all times, ensuring appropriate authorized parent/guardian pick-up in the lobby area.

  • Any guest arriving after your time in the party room has ended must pay admission.

  • No alcohol permitted.

The Magic City Discovery Center reserves the right to end the party early for violation of these guidelines.
