I am honored to be moving into this position at the Magic City Discovery Center.  We have spent many years taking our own kids to children’s museums and discovery centers around the country and now we have the opportunity to explore one in our own community!

I have a passion for writing engaging STEAM curriculum for children and am excited to expand the educational opportunities offered by MCDC. I hope to inspire children in our state to find fun in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math

Tessia Samuelson

I was born and raised here in Minot, where I graduated both high school and college. I completed my Bachelors degree for Art Education in 2021. During Spring of 2020, I studied abroad in Italy, where I learned so many different artistic skills.

Ever since I was young I fell in love with the freedom and creation that comes with making art. I believe art is so important for kids of all ages. This center is a wonderful addition for our community, and I am so excited to be a part of it!

I grew up in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 2009. I attended Minot State University where I studied Music and graduated with my Bachelors of General Studies Degree in 2017.

I have had many experiences in my young adult life, fostering relationships and experiences with children and teenagers, adults, and people of all abilities.

In my free time, I enjoy making music, cooking, crocheting, learning new languages, and spending time with my boyfriend and with my dog Eira. In the summers, you can find me golfing, hanging out at the dog park with my dog, and working on the chase crew for my uncle’s hot air balloon! I am thrilled to be a part of the leadership team that is opening the Magic City Discovery Center!
