who we are

The Magic City Discovery Center is a 501©(3) non-profit, incorporated as Children’s Museum of Minot, Inc. doing business as Magic City Discovery Center committed to creating extraordinary learning experiences that have the power to transform the lives of children and families.

funding

A donor’s gift may qualify for a significant federal tax deduction based on the donor’s personal or corporate income. There may also be certain North Dakota tax deductions available to a donor.

 

Revenues come from contributions and grants by individuals, foundations, corporations, and local, state, and federal government agencies; earned income; program and workshop income; and memberships and admission income.

The center receives no funding from city or state taxes.

The Magic City Discovery Center is governed by a board of directors.

The 28,000 square foot facility includes 12 major galleries plus an outdoor patio on the south side. Galleries include:
