CONSTRUCTION MILESTONES: Up, Up to Play

Contractors building the new Magic City Discovery Center in Minot aren't letting supply chain delays keep them from a successful start to the project. With four levels and more than 25,000 square feet of space the building met some early construction milestones prior to Thanksgiving.

The elevator and stair tower are complete with tall, steel structural pieces for two floors in place. The construction management team from Kraus-Anderson anticipates concrete being poured in early December for the first and second floors. Then it's all about getting the structure enclosed so that the sub-contractors from Minot and the surrounding area can work inside during the winter months.

Check out the photos from the RedBox Workshop design team as they create the pieces of our 37-foot-tall super structure which will include a unique B-52 Bomber replica atop an oil derrick! We are beyond excited for what this one magic towering gallery (in addition to 150+ interactive exhibits) will do for the growth and learning of all who come to the Magic City Discovery Center.

Stay tuned to our website and social media as we continue to provide construction updates for both the building and the exhibits within our world-class discovery center.
