This summer, the Magic City Discovery Center is full of hands-on programs, creative challenges, and brand-new experiences that make learning feel like play. Whether your child wants to explore the stars, experiment in the “kitchen,” or you’re just looking for a way to unwind, something is happening here all season long!

STEAM to the Stars: A Cosmic Adventure

In STEAM to the Stars, young explorers will dive into the wonders of space through hands-on experiments and creative challenges. From planets to engineering, this program blends science, imagination, and curiosity in a way that feels more like an adventure than a class.



This is the perfect program for kids who ask big questions like “What’s out there?” and “Can I build that?”

Yoga Above the Magic: Your Weekly Reset

Summer can be busy, but it should also be balanced. Yoga Above the Magic is your chance to slow down, stretch out, and reconnect. Held on our beautiful rooftop space, this class blends movement, mindfulness, and fresh air for a truly refreshing experience.


Each session includes:

  • Tai chi and sun salutations to get you moving

  • A customizable yoga flow (beginner-friendly!)

  • Themes like gratitude, kindness, and letting go

  • A calming meditation to end


When: Mondays at 5:30 PM (June 15 – August 17)

The Great Discovery Center Bake Off

In this two-day challenge, campers will explore the science behind baking—without even turning on an oven. Through hands-on experiments and team challenges, they’ll learn how ingredients work together before putting their skills to the test.


The grand finale? A cake decorating competition where creativity takes center stage.



It’s part science lab, part art studio, and 100% fun.

NEW This Summer: The Magic Pathway

Your visit doesn’t stop at the doors… The Magic Pathway is our one-of-a-kind outdoor experience that turns a simple walk into a full sensory adventure. Stretching from the front of the Discovery Center to the base of the hill, this interactive pathway is filled with large-scale musical instruments designed for everyone to play.


Along the way, you’ll find:

  • Contrabass chimes

  • Griffin chimes

  • A botanical garden ensemble

  • And plenty of opportunities to create your own music


Whether you’re tapping out rhythms, making melodies, or just stopping to listen, the Magic Pathway invites families to explore sound, movement, and creativity together.
