As the weather finally starts to cool down, things are just starting to heat up at the Discovery Center. This fall, our calendar is jam-packed with all sorts of things to do (with a little bit of something for everyone!). Check out our upcoming events below!

NEW!! Made with Discovery: The Discovery Workshop | October 2nd, 6 to 8 PM

  • Made with Discovery will be held on the first Monday of every other month from 6 to 8 PM starting October 2nd!

  • A creative workshop series designed for kids, families, and adults to explore, experiment, and make something of their own. Rather than traditional instructor-led classes, each workshop provides a creative project, materials, examples, and guidance while allowing participants the freedom to make it their own. No prior experience or artistic skills are needed, just come ready to create!

  • For October, we are DIYing custom doormats! All supplies are provided, we have stencils, and ideas to get you started or you can create something of your own imagination!

  • All ages welcome (even adults!)

    • Parents or guardians must remain with children during the workshop. This is not a drop-off class.

    • Each purchased spot includes one take-home project. For example, purchasing two spots for two children means both children will receive their own project.

    • Parents and guardians can purchase their own spot if they would like to complete a project alongside their child.

  • Cost is $25 for non-members, $22.50 for members, $20 for military members

  • Plus, sign up to be an honorary captain at one of the Tauros' games!

  • This event is FREE with museum entrance ticket!

Day Off Discoveries (MPS No-School Days!) | Friday, October 23rd from 3:30 to 5:30 PM

  • We’re refreshing Day Off Discovery for 2026–2027 with a new focus on career exploration through hands-on experiences. Held on select no-school days throughout the year, each event will feature a new theme and connect kids with local professionals, organizations, and careers. From firefighters and pilots to engineers, artists, entrepreneurs, and athletes, kids will get to meet real professionals, try hands-on activities, and discover where their interests could take them!

  • October is Fire Prevention Month! The Minot Fire Department will be at the Discovery Center for you to meet local firefighters, explore the fire truck and equipment, and learn what it takes to become a firefighter.

  • All ages are welcome!

  • This event is FREE with museum entrance ticket!

Silly Spooky Science (MPS No-School Day!) | Friday, October 23rd from 10 AM to 12 PM

Will you accidentally create a monster? Probably not...but science can be unpredictable! Come prepared to get a little messy, laugh a lot, and unleash your inner mad scientist!

Consultar los Números Calientes puede ser una forma curiosa de explorar resultados anteriores. Me parece especialmente útil cuando se muestran las apariciones junto con el periodo analizado, ya que así el lector puede interpretar los datos con mayor contexto.

There were goals, missed chances, football games unbelievable saves, controversial decisions, emotional celebrations, arguments, comebacks, and enough chaos to leave everyone inside the stadium wondering what they had just witnessed.
