Magic City Discovery Center board of directors joined U.S. Senator John Hoeven, Minot Mayor Shaun Sipma, and commanders from the Minot Air Force Base in a Ceremonial Groundbreaking for the new 22,000 square-foot children’s discovery center. The event, “Soaring to New Heights” was held at the Magic City Discovery Center’s North Hill site, on Minot Park District property, to celebrate moving forward with the new building and 12 exhibit galleries.
“We are so thankful for all the community support that has made this possible,” said Karen Rasmusson, Magic City Discovery Center Board President. “Without the City of Minot, Minot Park District, Minot Area Community Foundation, Scheels, Engelstad Foundation, Ackerman-Estvold and others, we would not be here today ready to build this world-class discovery center.”
