Celebrating Military Families at the Magic City Discovery Center

April is the Month of the Military Child, a time to honor the strength, resilience, and sacrifices of military families—especially the kids who grow up navigating a life full of transitions, challenges, and new adventures.

At the Magic City Discovery Center, we’re showing our appreciation by offering FREE admission to all active-duty military personnel and their families (including National Guard and Reserve members) from Sunday, April 6th, through Saturday, April 12th! Just bring a valid military ID, and get ready for a week filled with hands-on discovery, creativity, and fun. 🎨🔬🚀

Why We Celebrate Military Kids 💜

Military kids grow up with unique experiences—frequent moves, new schools, long separations from a parent, and the constant adjustment to change. But through it all, they show incredible adaptability and resilience. That’s why April is dedicated to recognizing their contributions, their sacrifices, and their amazing ability to thrive in the face of uncertainty.

We want to give back by providing a space where they can play, learn, explore, and create—whether it’s designing their own inventions, diving into science experiments, or just letting their imagination run wild.

The Magic City Discovery Center wouldn’t be here without the support of the military community. Thanks to the Department of Defense, this dream became a reality, and we’re incredibly grateful.
