The Magic City Discovery Center team held a Volunteer Information session on June 7th! Attendees were able to enjoy light refreshments and hear about all of the exciting ways to volunteer at the Center (& the added perks as well!). Tours of the Discovery Center were given by Executive Director, Wendy Keller, and Educator, Karen Langemo, to provide prospective volunteers with the opportunity to explore before the kiddos showed up for the day. Educator, Tessia Samuelson, talked about all the events that we are hosting and some that we would like to host in the future and how extra sets of hands would be greatly appreciated. Discovery Guide Supervisor, Keegan Meeks, showed volunteers how easy it is to sign up and pick shifts through the Volunteer Local platform.
